ReplyDeleteI really enjoy this morning very much!IT's very meaningful.Of course I felt so tired,but when I thought about the those children,I didn't feel tired anymore.It's because I hope they can be a healthy guy,so I would like to do somethings to help them.
There are so special cases in this morning.
First,when I went to two ladies,wish they can help those pitiful children.They told me,there is the place for people to do exercises,not many people would like to bring coins.UM...I think they can donate paper money,right?
Another case.I can see many little guys will told their parents to donate some money,therefore the parents would gave them so coins or paper money for them to drop into the bag.I think this is a very good chance for the parents to teach their children to be kind and generous.
And also some people will told me those children are very pitiful.It's because their relative or friend‘s are also like this.Therefore,they will donate more money.
I wish everyone has a generous heart to everybody. Hence,the world will be well.

ReplyDeleteI feel really glad to know that you enjoyed the event ! To me, you look a bit shy and quiet but today you showed me that you were brave to take the challenge and you got good observation. Even feeling tired, you learnt about the truth that some people could be mean to others needing their help while some sensible parents would take the chance to educate their next generation. ReplyDeleteAt the beginnig of the activity, I was very energetic, I asked for so many people to help the poor autistic guys. However, later a security guard said that we should go to other areas and continue.
Then I went to another overpass and continued . But another security guard asked us to walk away. This was the second time and I was angry!
At last, I sold out four pieces, I was really happy about this!! I think this will become my greatest record. This activity is very meaningful. From now on, I know more about the Hong Kongers, I think most of them are generous

ReplyDeleteI am so excited in this activity, because this is my first time to join flag selling day.I think it's really meaningful.
Through this activity, we can help those autistic people.Moreover,it's a good chance for me to communicate with the stranger.Although some passerby rejected me rudely,I didn't give up even I tried to asked more guys to sold it.
After yesterday,I think I will buy the flag if I see someone are selling flag.It is because we should help more people in need.Also ,I thnik it's a bit rude to the flag seller if we reject them.
I hope I can visit orphanage or nursing home next thme ,I think they need more people to care with them.

I have never being a volunteer before.When I was walking on the street,I saw someone who is selling the flag,I will try to skip them as they are transparent.But now,I will try to give them some money.It was because they must be standing for a long time,it should be very tired.Although it is very tired,I will join again next time.It is a good experience for me.And it make more more brave to a strange people.Selling flag is not helping someone who need helped.It also help me.

ReplyDeleteThis is the first time of me to sell flags for the charity and i have did some others volunteer work before.I thought that was more hardly to sell flags.I feel very tire now cause the coins were heavy = =!
There was a thing i felt very touch.Yesterday,when i was selling the flags,there was a old woman who walked with a crutch.Althougt she was walked very hardly,she stop and gave me a coin and she was easy to fallen down whenshe took the coin.
After the flag day,i thought i will buy flag when i see the volunteer!!

It was my first time to sell the flags.At first,it was rainnig and I was afraid of the strangers,so I had not sold my first flag.But I think if I don't ask the people voluntarily,the organization will not have enough money to help the patients.Therefore,I started to ask to the strangers to donate.After a few minutes,I had lerant how to ask and talk to the people,so I had sold out many flags.And some people said I was well-behaved.An hour later,the weather make me sweated.Although I feel hot,I also sold out the flags because it can help the patients,it also train my courage too!
Well done everyone of you ! I like your telling me that all of you got different kinds of reflections. Like what William said, the activity helped both the poor people and you !

ReplyDeleteI am happy to have a good experience in the flag day.It was raining at that day,but it could not turn off the ardent heart of me.My team needed to sell the flags near the seashore.When we arrived there,we started selling the flags.I enjoyed selling the flags because the wind always blew to me and made me being cool.Also,I was grateful to some people who came to buy the flags from me actively.Many parents gave money to their kids,and let them bought the flags from me by themselves.I love the kids very much,they were so lovable!When I saw the smiling face from the kids,I forgot all the weariness.The smiling face gave me vitality!At the end I just sold two piece of flags but I am joyful to have this experience and help the patients.
I felt great that morning!That was my first time to sell flag.
ReplyDeleteI had to go to have a swimming training at Friday's night.I got up early that day so I felt really tried during I was selling flag.
However,I felt happy and satisfied after finished the activity.And I think it is worth to do.
It is really a good experience for me.Hope we will have more meaningful activity to do.

ReplyDeleteYesterday was a special day.It was my first time to sold flags.I thought it was a good experience for all of us.
When I began selling the flags,I was a bit tension.I did not know how to sell the flags.In my first time to ask a lady to buy the flag,I succeeded selling it.So lucky!After this encouragement,my tension was disappeared.I discovered that most of people would not refuse to buy a flag,some of them even bought a flag wthout I asked them.
I thought this activity was very meanful.I hope more people can help the people in need.I enjoyed to help people by using my ability.

ReplyDeleteFirst,I want to say sorry about that I was late in the flag day moring.when i got up,it was about7:00a.m.Sorry!
On this day,it is the first time of me to sell the flag.i think this work is very meanful for everyone,so i must join the work like this again.Buying falg can help many people who need these money.And,when i was selling falg,
i saw many diffence people in hong kong.most of people in hong kong is so attaching,they usually bought the flag.
Finally, i hope 4D can join more activities and work happily!

I was delighted by my partner-ManFung's silly and senseless behavior.Anyway, he is a helpful guy. He always helps me to take the heavy bag with lots of coins in it.
I see different faces of Hong Kong people today. Someone looks poorly will give out more money for charity than someone wears clothes of famous brand. I asked a man who wore a jean cost thousands to buy a flag for me, he just gave me 50cent.I think that is ridiculous.
I hope we can join more benevolent activity like this, although I felt very tired after it. But I was glad that I did something meaningful for them.

As it is my first time to sell flags for the charity ,I felt nervous at first.I was afraid that I will be the one who sold nothing.Whenever I asked people to buy flag,they always refused.After awhile I was upset that I saw the one who did not buy flag from me was buying from my other classmates.That meant that I had some problems or I could do better.Anyway,it was a good experience for me and I learnt something from it.
i really happy and enjoy the flag day.it is a forgettable excrience for me.

i started sold the flag at the seaside.it was raining.i asked someone to help me bought a flag on one help.the rain was increase people was decrease.i felt helpless.luckyly i found out a good location by chance.i asked my friend went there.we quickly sold out all flag.wow!so funny!
i hope we can help the autistic children and they can be a healthy guy.
Actually,I did not sell flags at the first time on that day.I have already sold flags for 2 times in 2007 and 2008 respectively.
ReplyDeleteOn that day,I thought that I was not successful but also not failed because I had sold out not few flags!Some of you may know this happening.If the place and the weather were more better,my partner,Lily Yu and I would sell out all of the flags exactly!
Anyway,I think I am not too bad,but i tell you a secret now.
On the day during December in 2007,I firstly tried to sell flags.On that day,my teammates in my church went Wan Chai with me to sell flags.Since it was my first time,I was scared.While many people was walking in front of me,I did nothing.It's because I was scared.I thought the people who were cool,were terrible especially!Although some charitable one had put a paper of $100 in the bag,the helpful money was very lesser.I felt upset.
After that,I sweared.I said that I had to try my best in following times!I would not be the pavid one again and again!
Cause that promise,I will also try my best in next times.

ReplyDeleteI think those people who sell flags were very annoying before I had tried to sell flags.
I was very nervous at that day because this is the first time to sell flags.
It was very good at the beginning because I had sold some flags. However, there were five autistic men came near me and started selling flags... They intercepted pedestrians and the pedestrians always bought flags from them. At last I had to move to another location to sell flags.
I sold two pieces of flags at the end. However I was happy about that because it was the first time of me selling flags.
Ms Chan,I think it is a great activity,I really enjoy selling flags.

Ms Chan,I thought it was an unmeaningful acitivity and I was very worried the day before.However,I found out that selling flags is a significant activity and I began to receive it.....
ReplyDeleteAlthough i couldn't sell all the flags out,i began to be brave and full of courage.I was a little bit scary on the beginning because i had observed many kinds of people.Nearly all of them refused to buy a flag!
I have learnt a lot in this activity.We shouldn't be too easy to give up anything.We must be patient and detemined!

I was doing quite well and sold 2 and a half pages of flags that day.It's only my first time to join in this kind of helpful and meaningful event.It's my new record!It's cool,right?!(you can see that i am satisfied with myself:p)
And,I would like to share a special..or funny thing to you which happened during my flag-selling.
A man who was driving a lorry stopped beside me at the road,he shouted,'靚女',then i looked at him and realized he wanted to buy a little flag from me because i could see the ten dollars' note that he was holding.I gave him the flag just before he had to driven his car again.
Of course,I hadn't forgotten to say a big'Thank you to him. (p.s. it's my first note so i was really happy!)Really fun!
Joining this event,I also made a friend form our class too which i never know in the last three years!德政同學XD nice to meet you!!:)Don't be so afarid to me,i am very niceeee :p

I was so happy on the 'Flag-selling Day '.I think it must be a very good experience for me and all the form four students.
At the very beginning, I was a little bit nervous of how to ask people to buy the flag, but at the end, I learn the skill of selling the flag.
The activity made me feel so great! It is because I know that I could help a lot of people who are autism. This activity teaches me a lot, at least I know that selling flag is not a easy thing. So from now on, I will buy the flag every weekend! And I hope that I can join more activities like that in these a few years!! ;)
But unluckily, I have flu now (not swine flu)! Maybe it is because I was so tired on that day! So I am not going to go to school in these a few days. Hope that I would be better and no more students in our school would be sick la!

This was my first time to selling flags,
so I can't slept the day before.
What did I did the whole night??
I was imagined what will happened the following day.I think that I can sell all the flag.
However,I can't, I only sold 5 pages of flags,
I was a bit disappointed.
Anyway, this is the first time,
I will be more hard next time.
After this activity, I learnt how to communication better with others.
Unfortunately, I got sore throat and dizzy until now...
I can't go to school yesterday, I was worried to miss the lesson.
I will be more attention and never sleep again on every lesson in the future.

ReplyDeleteHing and I were selling flags for a Charity in Tsing Yi Sports Ground this Saturday.
At first, there is only a few people in the Sports Ground and so we didn’t think that we could sell all of the flags we had. Then, we went to the main road and met many people who were generous in a garden and a market. Both of us were excited!
It was raining and wind blew heartlessly. We were completely got wet! Finally, a lady appreciated us and giving us all of her coins and in order to show her support. At that time, Hing and I understood that nothing is as important as one’s kindness, even though money.. It was really an unforgettable memory that I’ve had !

But I think this can learning how to connect different people.
I am happy that there are hearty people who approached me actively and donated coin. The generous donations from them made that day an extremely joyful and rewarding one.

ReplyDeleteThis is my first time of flag-selling.I felt very excited in it!Because I had been wanted to flag-selling for a long time and this event was so meaningful!
At the begining of flag-selling,it was unfortunately that was raining.Luckily, there was a nice guy help me and Tin Long.Well I really appreciate him!Ha,I didn't get wet.Also,he told us that where could sell more flgs easily.Thanks him a lot!!
After that,the process of flag-selling was quite smooth going although we had met some guards and they didn't us sell flags in some places. I met some helpful people and they donated many money.Those people are very kind!Finally,I sold almost five pages of flags,I felt very satisfied in it.
In this activity,i knew that flag-selling is not a easy job and actually it made me very tired!haha,but i still hope that we'll have this kind of activity again.

First,we assembled at the Tsing Yi MTR station.
Although I was late,everyone didn't punish us because ManFung and TakWai were late!They said that the mtr was very busy.What a joke!
Then we started to sell the flags.Jacky and Winnie were my group members.We went to the bus station that was near the maritimesquare.This is a man who were the first buy the flag.I think I could sell 3 papers of the flags.However,I can only sell 2.5 papers.I felt a little bit upset.
At last,we gave back the thinks to the office.
I hope we can have more function like this because it can help us to improve our friendship.Also,we can help more people.

Hi Ms Chan,i'm so sorry for i share my experience on blog too late.Actually,that's not my first time to sell flags but i really enjoyed to join volunteer work with my classmates and you!At the beginning,I saw Tinlong has sold some flags in a short time so i was a little bit nervous and had no confidence on sold out all the flags in two hours.I knew you had quite a bit of confidence in us so I wanted to try my best on Flag-Selling Day!My partner was Keith who is very shy was hardworking too.Unfortunately,there started raining soon.We were wet through and I was sick after Flag-selling Day. Although some people said no to buying flags,I won't give up and I believed next person will say "YES". It's a special experience and a wonderful memory in Form four.Also,I hope our class can created more happy memories in other OLE events!
